My New Home - Nebraska

After a lot of consideration, and a lot of soul searching I find myself looking at new opportunities. My heart leads me to the mid-west, Omaha to be exact. Everyone i have encountered there thus far has been fantastic. So helpful and not to mention how considerate they all have been. Growing up in New England this is a hard quality to find. Here are some beautiful sights of this city I soon will call home, as well as a John Deere display from thr Qwest Center that was holding a convention making finding a hotel pretty slim pickings.

Sunset Beach-Calabash , N.C.

Amist the craziness known as Myrtle Beach, there lies a quaint, semi-secluded location called Sunset Beach. Right over the border of North and South Carolina hides breath taking views of the Intracoastal Waterway and world famous style of seafood "Calabash style". I was however quite saddened to see that this once beautiful old, rickety bridge will soon see its last days as they build a by-way through the waterway to connect the beach to the mainland.

Odds and Ends

Few different edits and such that I have been slacking adding on this site.

In my mind I'm gone to Carolina...

After a day of traffic being hectic, people being angry that they are not able to get to where they want to go in the timeframe they had intended, I decided to take it back to a peaceful serene hide-a-way in Cherry Grove. The sun was setting and a family visiting crab catching in the inlet. Beautiful night to see the sights.

Charleston Trip

This weekend I took a little adventure to see some dear friends and some wandering around in the idealistic southern city of Charleston. It has the most beautiful landscaping, old style architecture of the deep south, and amazing views from the waterfront. Here are some of the pictures I captured from my trip.

Expeirmental Black and White with Color Splash

After a long stressful day at work I decided to unwind a bit with some photo testing and seeing what I could create from images I had taken from my yard. Here are a few of what I came up with. Most are black and white with some color kept in. One is with the black and white and colors inverted from the orginal.

Different Sides of a Magnolia Flower

So it was a boring so-so day, Washed up for a beach day, or a stroll in this garden I had been planning all week. So played with the Magnolia tree we have in our front yard and had a nice picture of one of the flowers. Decided to switch up a few things and here is the outcome or the many different view points.

Beach Life

I am lucky to have the opportunity with work to get pictures of our condos that we rent, but also view shots from the balconies. The beach is so peaceful and serene that it can wisp you from every day life that can consume your mind. Some images are of the buildings, some of the beach, some a bit abstract. All taken from the shores from the Grand Strand

Myrtle Beach Fires One Month Later

About a month ago devistation took place here in the place I call home. Nearly 20 thousand acres of the grand strand inland was destroyed due to a brush wire which went amiss. The resort areas were saved but many locals were displaced for a week or so, traffic was more congested, and some lost all they had. I being from Connecticut I had never experienced tornados, seen a few hurricanes, but nothing to the extent I had witnessed from the highway I am so accustomed to taking for my daily travels. The beaches were beautiful, sunny, and warm. Only miles inland was a completely different sight.

Here are a few of the images I captured from this day.
